March is a young community with an old tradition. The districts of Buchheim, Holzhausen, Hugstetten and Neuershausen belong to March.

March has a lot to offer in all its suburbs. Churches and castles, along with other artistic monuments, have a strikingly accentuating influence on the character of the villages.

In addition to a wide range of gastronomic delights, the March also has its own wines from the "Rebstuhl" and "Steingrube" vineyards on the Marchhügel (or Nimberg).

Hikers also get their money's worth in the March, as the March is connected to the Marchhügelpfad and the Dreisamniederungenpfad as well as the Burgunderpfad.

The landscape deserves special mention. With the Dreisam lowlands and the March hills, it offers quite a bit of variety. Cycling and hiking trails connect the individual areas.
In the Dreisam lowlands, water bodies, forests and agriculturally used areas form the landscape. An ideal area for cycling. Here you will also find the popular forest playgrounds with barbecue areas.
The Marchhügel or Nimberg stretches from Hugstetten to Nimburg. The landscape here is shaped by agricultural use.
Here you will also find the vineyards "Rebstuhl" and "Steingrube" through which March belongs to the Kaiserstuhl wine-growing region.
