Treat yourself to an eventful day at the Kaiserstuhl on a trip with the historic train "Rebenbummler" of the Eisenbahnfreunde Breisgau e.V..

You will travel nostalgically as in grandfather's time in historic passenger coaches with mostly original wooden benches and partly open platforms. In addition to non-alcoholic drinks and Riegel beers, selected wines are available in the cosy bar car. These all come from the places that the Kaiserstuhlbahn touches. While you enjoy the local wines, the magnificent landscape of the Kaiserstuhl passes by outside.

The train travels between Riegel-Malterdingen and Endingen past fertile farmland, towards Sasbach through one of the largest fruit-growing areas. After Sasbach, the Rhine meadows are briefly touched, then the most beautiful part of the route begins. From Jechtingen, the route leads through the middle of the almost unmissable vineyards to Breisach. From the train you have a unique view of the winegrowing town of Burkheim with the Schwendiburg, the Breisach Münsterberg and, in clear weather, all the way to the Vosges Mountains in Alsace.
