Guide for wine discoverers
On the road from Baden-Baden to Weil
There are many ways to roam "Germany's most beautiful gourmet corner" - but hardly more enjoyable than by car, bus, bike or on foot along the Baden Wine Route.
Since 1954, one of Germany's most beautiful holiday routes has led like a red thread through the Baden wine regions along the Black Forest - through Ortenau, Breisgau, Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg and Markgräflerland.
Wine discoverers can look forward to impressive views over vineyards and sun-drenched valleys on the journey. Numerous castles and palaces along the route invite you to linger, and picturesque winegrowing villages with winding alleys, stately farmsteads and modern winegrowing architecture are always worth a stop. Lovely towns characterise the cultural landscape in Baden wine country with museums, churches and promenades. Hospitable winegrowers invite you to cosy wine festivals, wine tastings or holidays on a winegrowing farm all year round. Along the wine route on "Baden's Gourmet Route", many excellent inns and restaurants recommend themselves with culinary delights and regional specialities.
On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the Baden Wine Route has also been running through the Baden wine regions of Kraichgau and Badische Bergstrasse since 2014, thus offering pure wine experiences over a total length of more than 400 kilometres!
Numerous routes also lead from the Baden Wine Route even deeper into the wine country of Baden: down to Lake Constance with its picturesque wine landscapes and up to Tauberfranken, where the "Taubertal Wine Route" points the way to wine.
